Statement of Philosophy 2024
At Boronia K-12 College Early Learning Centre we respectfully recognise the traditional custodians of this land, water and sky, the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, on whose land we teach, learn and play.
We provide inclusive and sustainable environments that are relaxed, warm and nurturing, ensuring each child, family and educator feels a sense of belonging. We foster respectful relationships and positive interactions that nurture teamwork. We value play’s pivotal role in children’s being, becoming and belonging. And we will all create our own identity becoming a person who actively participates in and contributes to our society.
The introduction of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program to the educational setting aims to assist in developing the children’s approaches to learning through inquiry based experiences with the ultimate PYP goal of becoming internationally minded, caring and knowledgeable global citizens.
We believe in fostering respectful relationships between educators, children, families and stakeholders.
