Children's University at Boronia K-12 College
Boronia K-12 College is proud to partner with Swinburne University of Technology to offer the Children’s University Program, empowering students to take ownership of their learning and have a strong voice in shaping their educational journey. Boronia K-12 College was one of the first schools in Victoria to become a part of this program that now spans over 600 schools. This exciting initiative encourages students to develop a love of learning beyond the classroom by engaging in high-quality educational experiences both at school and in the wider community.
Through this program, students choose from a range of approved learning experiences both within the school and the wider community, building curiosity, confidence and independence. With more than 1000 learning destinations, students can explore their passions and interests and find new ones! By valuing student choice and agency, Children’s University reflects our commitment to learning both inside the classroom and beyond by supporting students to see themselves as capable, motivated learners.
The program strengthens our engagement in the community by connecting students with learning opportunities beyond the classroom and encourages aspiration by exposing them to university environments and future pathways. As students work towards their learning goals and celebrate their achievements at a formal graduation ceremony at Swinburne University, they are recognised for their excellence, effort and commitment to lifelong learning.
