STEAM Program

Our refreshed STEAM Program offers a contemporary and dynamic approach to learning that integrates the five fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and innovation, the program provides students with hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences across 20 exciting elective subjects from Year 6 to Year 10.

Through STEAM, students explore real-world challenges, develop critical thinking skills, and collaborate to design, create, and problem-solve using cutting-edge technologies and design processes. The program is built around creativity and innovation — preparing students for future pathways in both academic and vocational fields.

Our STEAM facilities are state-of-the-art, featuring:

  • A dedicated Multi-Materials and Engineering workshop
  • A Robotics and Emerging Technologies lab
  • Specialist spaces for Art, Textiles, and Product Design
  • A dedicated MAC Lab for Digital Media, Photography, and Animation

Students can select from a wide range of electives including:

  • Digital Media, Photography, Video & Animation
  • Product Design & Technologies in Textiles, Timber & Plastics, and Multi-Materials
  • Emerging Technologies and Robotics
  • Food Studies, including Food of the World
  • 2D & 3D Visual Arts, Visual Communication Design, and Coding & Design

In the senior years, students can extend their STEAM learning through VCE Systems Engineering, Art Making and Exhibiting, Visual Communication, Food Studies, Product Design and Technology, and VET Fashion.
